I have a core set, and I find the idea of this game really appealing in a couple of ways. First, the “living card game” setup does seem like a better fit for me than conventional TCGs, which develop a whole marketplace and meta that I just can't keep up with as an adult interested in lots of different games. Second, the dramatic asymmetry built into this game is neat! There's lots of hidden information and I feel like design/theme consonance is very strong.

Unfortunately, as of 2025 I've basically only ever played this once! I haven't had much of a tabletop community in the last decade, this game doesn't appeal to my partner, and I haven't really gone searching for it online. I'd love to get more familiar with it, if I ever have the opportunity.
