Air Hockey

Created in 1972 by Bob Lemieux. Guessing I first played this around age 8. A perennial favorite with my parents and now my wife. Although a bit too twitch-gamey for my taste, there's something about the combined aesthetic of the crazy contrived technology and the loud crack of the puck on the walls that is inextricable from the experience, and just doesn't work digitally.

Edit: Nearly a year after writing that, we've discovered a shockingly good digital air hockey in Clubhouse Games 51 Worldwide Classics.
