Oven to 400F
Grease an 8“ square pan
Mix:
1 1/4 cups flour
1 cup cornmeal
2/3 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
1 Tbsp baking powder
Add:
1 1/4 cups milk (usually coconut)
1/3 cup neutral oil (usually canola)
Mix well, pour into pan, bake 25-30 minutes
A toothpick should come out clean, and it shouldn't jiggle in the pan. Let it cool a little before cutting.
Pair with crockpot beans and stewed garlicky kale.
