Created by Kevan Davis in 2005. Encouraged to play by a friend (Andrew) who is obsessed with zombie culture.  I must admit, it's probably the best-designed browser game and the best-curated community for such a game that I've ever encountered.  It's a self-sustaining and self-balancing group of players.  Strange phenomenon.
