Played with roommates in undergrad, usually with three or four of us. Memorable mechanics:

  - It's a "journey" game as heroes try to carry the ring to mount doom
  - Instead of spending a resource to play a hero, playing them //generates// a resource which the villains then spend to play, giving heroes an interesting pacing choice.
  - Everyone plays as both heroes and villains, rotating roles.
