====== Balatro ======

Played the demo before release. I can get hooked on this sort of thing (see [[Slice & Dice]]) so not planning to play the full game. Just kidding - in October 2024 I pick up the Android release and play a bit more. It's just as dangerously addictive as I remember, and also eats my phone battery pretty quick.

I wonder how much the "rough" aesthetic contributes to the popularity of this game? It's got a psychedelic pixel-ish thing going on, like a cursed DOS game.
